FREE Printable Draw And Write Worksheets For Teachers: Back-To-School Theme
Reading, 'Riting, 'Rithmetic . . . And Drawing, Too!
The end of summer and return to school can feel sad, scary, exciting, and fun. It takes time for children to adjust to the changes they are experiencing.
The open-ended nature of Draw and Write Activities allows for freedom of expression and creativity, and eases students gently into the structure of school. This page contains 10 drawing and writing prompts about going back to school as the summer ends.
Select the activities you wish to use, copy and paste them into a document, customize as desired (font size, lines, heading, additional material, etc.), then print.
There are also six large Talk About It pictures to spark discussion about various aspects of returning to school. These may be viewed onscreen by small groups of children or printed out for display or activities.
At the end of the page you will find a variety of children's books related to the back-to-school theme, as well as links to other back-to-school pages on Squidoo.
